The first few months of 2025 have been full of energy, growth, and exciting milestones here at Swann Financial. From staff development and award wins to client-focused events and tax year-end planning, it’s been a season of momentum and progress. Here’s a roundup of everything we’ve been up to so far this year.
We began the year by coming together for our annual Practice meeting, followed by the St. James's Place company-wide event. These sessions offered a fantastic opportunity to reflect on our achievements from 2024 and look ahead to how we’ll continue supporting our clients in 2025. It was a moment to celebrate the dedication and commitment of our team, who are the foundation of everything we do.
We’re incredibly proud to share that Kris Hudson was named Newcomer of the Year at the Professional Adviser Awards! Since joining Swann Financial, Kris has demonstrated unwavering focus and a passion for helping clients, this recognition is a well-deserved reflection of his hard work.
Also making waves is George Grant, who has now officially graduated from the St. James's Place Financial Adviser Academy and stepped into his new role as a financial adviser within the Swann Financial team. Congratulations, George!
As always, tax year end was a busy time, but now we’ve stepped into a brand-new tax year. It’s an important time to review your finances, especially when it comes to allowances that operate on a ‘use it or lose it’ basis, like the £20,000 ISA allowance. If you didn’t use it before the end of the 2024/25 tax year, it’s now gone. The good news? With the right plan in place, you could make this year more tax efficient.
Just before the tax year drew to a close, we hosted a fully booked Inheritance Tax Planning Seminar at the Crowne Plaza in sunny Stratford-upon-Avon. It was an engaging session led by directors Andrew Swann and Ray Sommerfield, with attendees gaining valuable insights on how to protect their wealth and plan for the future. Thank you to everyone who joined us, it was fantastic to see so many proactive individuals taking charge of their legacy.
We’re not slowing down any time soon. As part of our commitment to delivering exceptional service, we’re expanding our team and currently recruiting for a new Paraplanner and a Business Support Administrator. If you’re looking for a new challenge in a collaborative and growing team, we’d love to hear from you.
Here’s to a successful and purpose-driven 2025. Stay tuned for more updates from Swann Financial—and as always, thank you for your continued trust and support.
